How DM2 works
DM2 is built around three ideas: your data should never live on a single server, it should be reachable however you work, and storing it shouldn't cost more than the hardware it sits on.
- Every object is written to at least two separate servers before a write is confirmed
- Upload and download through the browser client, or REST API. We also have a desktop client for device backup solutions
- Automatic live backups of files on personal computers if using the Data Moose backup application
- Choose a region at bucket creation — data stays where you put it
- No minimum commitment — pay only for what's stored each month
